I’ve been wrestling with the difference between passion and perseverance.

I believe that the passions we have in life come directly from God. Those of us who love music, art, math, writing, carpentry, etc. I believe those passions are directly from God and we are supposed to use those things for his glory.

That doesn’t necessarily mean you are supposed to do those as a career, but I do believe that we are given passions for a reason.

My dilemma has come lately when you have to make the decision to keep pursuing a passion versus persevering through something you feel God may or may not have called you to.

I am embarking on a new journey lately and I am battling with where exactly God wants me. How do my passions fit into the life God called me?

I think this is something a lot of people battle as they enter college, and as they exit college. I think this is part of the reason college students change majors so much.

I know my passions, I just don’t know how to use those passions in the capacity that I am in.

Maybe this was a little more of me just thinking out loud, and I’m not sure I helped or encouraged you at all in your struggles, but if anything know that you are not alone.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
